Yes, it's true! You can in fact INCREASE your chao's lifespan! For every Strong Fruit you feed it, your chao will live ten minutes longer. It's a good idea to keep at least one Strong Fruit tree in your garden, and to check it regularly for fruits. Be sure to feed your chao these at least once every hour, and they'll live for a pretty decent amount of time.
Note: This does NOT make your chao immortal -- it merely helps it live longer. It is strongly recommended to feed your chao a Strong Fruit every time you mate it; mating and Chaos Drives shorten a chao's lifespan by 5 minutes, however that can be fixed with a Strong Fruit. So, to add another chao year on to your chao's lifespan, you need to feed it 90 Strong Fruits. .. Okay, so that's kind of a lot. Forget I said that. (even though that's true). Anyway, just feed it Strong Fruits regularly, don't abuse it, always let it sleep, never take food from it, feed it a fruit after every mating, and remember to always keep a Strong Fruit tree handy in your garden.
